Travis County Early Vote

Every morning during early voting the dashboard refreshes with the county's latest roster and compares the running total with the same day in prior cycles. A pace banner says plainly whether turnout is ahead of or behind 2024, and a dotted model line projects where the final count is likely to land if the current pace holds.

Alongside turnout it tracks daily partisanship, the Democratic margin in the early vote with a sparkline of how it has moved, and the share of registered voters who have already cast a ballot. Separate tabs cover election day, primary results, and a deeper analysis layer.

Numbers are usually available before they are interpretable. The dashboard exists to make live turnout operationally legible for people making decisions under pressure. If turnout is running soft against the modeled curve, field teams can shift volunteers, tighten canvassing turf, or push late-day voter contact where the gap is still recoverable.

For analysts it separates normal day-to-day variance from actual underperformance, which prevents noisy overreactions as much as it enables real ones.
